Bramford Open Spaces Ltd was set up as a result of Suffolk County Council divesting a number of Country Parks. The Parish Council took on responsibility for the County wildlife park and picnic area in Bramford and a group of local volunteers set up the Charity to manage this and other open spaces around Bramford on behalf of the Parish.
Our Directors are responsible for the formal side of running the charity, keeping to our stated objectives and making the required reports and accounts.
Our Management group decides and organises what has to be done, within a budget agreed by the Directors.
Members have a say in how and what we do. They can vote for Directors and Management Group members, and are eligible to put themselves up for these roles if they wish (we will not pressure anyone into this).
Friends may help in our voluntary work and keep in touch. You may have an idea for a project you want to take part in, or just a general interest in enjoying our open spaces.
Please see our Join Us pages if you want to become involved. You don't have to live locally and we welcome members and friends from wherever you live.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Please see the pages listed on the left. Important documents are published in PDF format to make the content secure. You may already have a copy of the reader on your computer, if not it can be downloaded free by clicking this link. Read on for an important note.
Reader Set Up. Sorry but there is a potential issue with the reader caused by security updates to your PC. Your browser might try to open these documents directly and get stuck, displaying a box with "iexplore runtime error". It will keep trying to do this even when you click in the box, you will have to close your browser as well. Keep clicking on the box and the close button until it does.
These documents are safe and will be security checked. To avoid the problem (or if it happens) do the following. Open your copy of Reader (through the start menu at the bottom left of the screen or your desktop icon) and find the Edit tab, then Preferences and in the list choose Internet. There will be a box ticked for "Display PDF in Browser". Click this box to remove the tick. Now the document will open your Reader separately and let it make it's own security checks before opening the document. You might prefer to do this before you read on (you can keep this window open as well so you can keep these instructions handy)
